The WHO´s Executive Board meets in January each year and prepares the agenda and documents for the next World Health Assembly (WHA) that meets in May each year.

Every two years it reviews progress in implementing the International Code and subsequent, relevant Resolutions and generally adopts a further Resolution addressing changes in scientific knowledge, new marketing strategies and questions of interpretation.

The Working Group analyses issues that will be or should be discussed at the Assembly.
