Government support for breastfeeding in Colombia

IBFANErs in Colombia report that the Ministry of Social Protection is studying a new law for the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding, in application of the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and the Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding.
More encouraging news is the opening of 150 “Breastfeeding friendly-rooms” in the kinder gardens of Bogotá, with the support of the local government and the participation of the singer Carlos Vives and his breastfeeding wife, as shown on the following invitation and video.
