WBW 2025 will focus on environment and climate change. It will highlight our roles in supporting breastfeeding to create a sustainable environment while simultaneously reducing the impact of climate change caused by artificial feeding.
#WBW2024 will focus on survival, health and wellbeing. It will showcase the need to improve breastfeeding support to reduce inequalities that exist in our society with a special focus on breastfeeding in times of emergencies
The right to maternity protection for mothers who work outside the home is the theme of this year’s World Breastfeeding Week – an annual event organised since 1992 by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action.
We are a global network which has worked tirelessly to combat misleading commercial promotion and protect breastfeeding, a vital pillar for children’s well-being.
